Are You Looking For The "Great Escape"?
Bloggers need to get a life sometime. Having a well-deserved vacation can be considered as the "great escape." We can't be slaves to daily blogging. Now, let's see if there's any ideal destination where we can enjoy the sun and some quality time.
I've always have a soft spot for the Caribbean. Just think of the beautiful beaches, the colour and culture, and the hospitable climate. Having checked out the travel magazines and websites, it looks like there's a great place to go if a holiday trip is on the cards. Just think of Central America with its natural beauty and cultural diversity.
Now, just check out vacation rentals in places such as Playa Del Carmen that's on the tip of the Mayan Riviera. It's a resort town that's located on the Mexican coast looking out to the Caribbean. The place is growing with modern facilities and amenities. Just imagine if you have the opportunity to enjoy Playa Del Carmen beach vacations.
For the investor in you, they have a condo complex called Paseo del Sol which is a vacation condo project in the Playacar community. The place is designed to create a sophisticated environment to provide a pleasant tropical lifestyle.

Are you offering a free trip to see if it helps us bloggers relax? :) Check out that pic with the lighthouse on the beach.. that is ideal!
Blogger need vocation. How that sound nice:) Well, I made my plans, in few months, I will setup my blogs to update automatic, and will dissapear for month, and nobody will know where I am. And somewhere where there are no internet cafes, or I might want to check my websites.
Bloggers do need a great escape vacation at times, but also when considering your vacation, stopping blogging all together while you're taking your break can make people lose interest in your site and stop reading. People need to realize that blogging is indeed not only a full-time job, but could be two full-time jobs put together. It's hard work!
I think it is common among bloggers especially those that blog for a living to lose sight of their free time. They are constantly seeing if there are new comments, checking their cheques etc.
Its best to not take the laptop with you when you go on holiday as you'll end up blogging!
Thanks for sharing. It's very informative. Blogging can be fun, and it can be work. It's depends on how you want to view it.
I would give my left arm to be in the caribbean right now. Someone I know is down there for three months and I am incredibly jealous.
> Holly: I agree with you, blogging is hard work. I've done my hard work and decided not to be a slave to blogs anymore. Blogging is not my full time job, so there you are.
> neil strauss: You're right, mate. In fact, those blogging pro who are already making money are sitting back and using guest bloggers to write post on their sites.
sounds nice :)
i do agree. Let's all go for the great escape together and share our experience in person. how abt that?
> Elaine: Sweet!
the great escape? I found it: TULUM
Even though I'm in vacation as long as I have my laptop I cannot getaway from the blogging world. Blogging is in my blood...
I'm going as long as you are paying! jk. Those pictures look amazing. Hopefully I'll be able to go there someday.
Woah! First image is so pretty. I want to set it as my wallpaper
This is a great idea. I know I need a vacation. I have never been to the carribean or any beautiful island. I think I deserve some relaxation. Especially with all the new work I've been doing in 2008. Its a new year and time to experience new things. Jamaica here I come!
Blogger need time to have fun outside virtual space :) and best way to have it is to go on vacation..
Hmmm... Holly
Maybe blogging can be hard work, but if you manage to make it a full time paying gig, it sure beats working for the man.
And sitting at home wearing whatever you want is an option in this "job"
But i agree it is important to blog after some schedule, whether it is a post a day or a week... you need some sort of regularity if you want returning visitors.
The shores of Turkey present very nice and cheap vacation, I would recommend it :)
How relaxing to ever thought of having a vacation!!! I just hope I can have the privilege to have one. I'd like to have a vacation but all expenses paid.
Heh. You know how you know blogging has become an obsession? When you take a vacation, like you suggested above, and think about blogging it the entire time.
I speak from personal experience, unfortunately.
Mayan Riviera is great. Also, the beaches of the Dominican Republic, especially Punta Cana are awesome. Cuba is really nice too (being Canadian, I can go there without breaking the law!)
Best vacation is without any cell phone, PDA, laptop, or internet access. Very relaxing and a reminder that there was life before all this technology!
I sure want a Caribbean vacation. But I haven't made much money blogging yet. The pictures you posted here makes me wanna be rich.
How I wish I can have a grand vacation with my family and special someone with that place =D sometimes you need a break from your work and I found that place a good one for relaxation =D
A vacation to a tropical destination is definitely in the cards for me in the near future. Thanks for the idea, looks like a great spot...

I would love to go to the Carribean. I blog everyday and sometimes it would just be nice to leave everything and just relax on a beach.
I agree that some bloggers need to get a life and take a break to get rejuvinated. Great read.
