Destination Australia - Another Milestone for Nuffnang
Down Under move The launch of Nuffnang Australia recently marks another milestone for Nuffnang.com which started life on the Web in Malaysia on Feb 27, 2007 as Asia Pacific's first blog advertising community. Barely two months later, the company set up its Singapore platform and then they moved on to the Philippines before they went Down Under with their head office located in Melbourne.
The Australian move is a joint venture between the Nuffnang Group and Tomeel Pty Ltd which, according to the Nuffnang blog, is an Aussie firm helmed by two digital marketers "with more than 40 years of experience between them" - Martyn Thomas and David Lee.
Nuffnang was an idea brought to fruition by two young university students, Timothy Tiah and Cheo Ming Shen, while they were studying in London. When they first launched Nuffnang Malaysia, there were about 300 sign-ups initially.
After setting up Nuffnang, com.sg in the Lion City, the number of bloggers has been steadily increasing. According to Nuffnang, they now have about 40,000 bloggers on their list and it's still growing.
Among their advertisers are well-known bluechip names such as Citibank, Honda, Walls, AirAsia, Nokia, Nike, Nescafe, Twisties, and more. Beyond blog advertising, Nuffnang also pride themselves as "a community for bloggers by bloggers".

Nuffnang's venture into Australia indicates that they need to tap into the Aussie market. It may well be a takeoff point for them at a later stage to eye NZ and perhaps, everything works out, move on to other lucrative markets such as China, or Europe. As I see it, it would be tough for them to break into the US market, not in the foreseeable future.
I am aware that Nuffnang issue local cheques to affiliates who have reached the payment threshold of RM50. But it would be much more convenient if they could use PayPal as an alternative for those who have accounts there. Just my two cents.
das war sehr interesent und gutt.Ich danke ihnen, I m from Düsseldorf, Thank You
> mwitt: Good suggestion there to have Paypal as an option for affiliates.

> Prem: Nuffnang runs PPC ads and if you're a member you can place their ads on your site. They get their members from countries where they have opened office. They must be popular to get that many members!
